The Kirat Rai Society of America (KRSA) is a non-profit ethnic organization of all Kirat Rais living in the United States from around the world. This organization was duly registered in the United States of America in 2004 to promote the prosperity, progress, mutual understanding, enhancement, and development of the Kirat Rai language, costumes, arts, literature, culture, script, and rituals.
This organization has been successfully conducting its activities regularly by establishing chapters in different states of the United States of America to attain its specific objectives. Furthermore, this organization always welcomes all Kirat Rai who wishes to join voluntarily as a member, following the organization’s principles and constitution.
Strengthening and expanding the organizational structure, the organization will cooperate with different castes, tribals, and other organizations, following the laws of the United States and mobilizing its members to the maximum the organization aims to achieve the rights of its members.
KRSA, cooperating with other organizations, will play a proactive role in establishing immigrants’ rights. Since Kirat Rai is an immigrant minority in America, KRSA must ally with other immigrant organizations to build political power and establish the rights of its members and immigrant communities.
Kirat is a unique civilization. Kirat Rai has a history of ruling Nepal for at least 32 kings. However, there needs to be more research on Kirat Rai Culture and Kirat civilization. Therefore, another primary objective of KRSA will be to research and conduct such studies.
